Route and pacing advice for a private catamaran Paros trip this September?

Hello everyone! I’m currently organizing a late-summer getaway for a group of 6 (my family plus my parents). We initially looked into renting a villa on the island and just doing crowded public day trips, but my dad really wanted to spend the majority of our vacation out on the water.

A colleague of mine who travels to Greece every year strongly suggested we ditch the land-based idea altogether. They recommended booking a private catamaran Paros instead. Since my mom gets a bit motion sick on standard monohull sailboats, the extra stability and massive deck space of a multihull sounded like the absolute perfect compromise.

I found a boutique agency that specializes exclusively in these boats, and their fully-crewed Lagoon models honestly look like floating luxury apartments. I love the idea of having a local skipper who knows exactly how to avoid the heavy summer crowds.

Since we are planning to lock in our deposit this week, I just have a quick itinerary question for those who know the local waters well: if our main priority is finding calm, flat anchorages for easy swimming, should we stick strictly to the channel between Paros and Antiparos, or is it generally calm enough in September to venture slightly south towards the Small Cyclades? Would love to hear your routing tips!
